Engineering Ministries International is a Christian non-profit made up of architects, engineers, surveyors, and construction managers. Since 1982, their worldwide mission is to develop people, design structures, and construct facilities which serve communities and the Church. We have been working with teams from their Senegal office and their Middle East/North Africa Office.

EMI’s best estimate is between 1.3-1.5 million dollars (not including furnishing, lights, etc). They said a similar project would cost about 16 million in the U.S. The building estimate will be refined once the construction company draws up the final building plans. Pray with us that the funds will come in quickly as we race against inflation.

Sanctuary/conference center with room for 420+, 4 well equipped classrooms, a library, office space, a printing and book-making room, and a recording studio.

In a Cameroonian village setting our building may be considered extravagant. But in this strategic, rapidly developing part of Yaounde, it will be culturally appropriate. Our aim is that the building will have a simple beauty and be well-constructed so that it will last for generations. We want it to be easily maintained and useful for worship, instruction, printing and fellowship. We are designing it to be accessible to the elderly and disabled.
